We are happy to announce that we will be having our next CCRO Members meeting in New York City this August. Please join us in thanking Moody’s for hosting us at their offices and providing us with game tickets and access to their skybox.
Here are the details that we are working on today:
Join us this May 20th and 21st in Houston, TX, where the Committee of Chief Risk Officers (CCRO) will host the “Credit Intermediation Summit.” This is a must-attend event for senior risk management professionals from all across our energy industry. The CCRO will bring together Chief Risk Officers and their teams to address the critical trends and developments shaping the future of credit intermediation in the energy trading sector. Including new product offerings, new markets, and evolving regulatory landscapes, this summit will be broad in scope yet deep in useful insights.
Building on our very popular first workshop in March, we will host this second workshop in London the day after our member meeting. We’ll bring the European members and guests back together to dive deep into scenario development best practices, implement them, and arrive at a set of plausible scenarios for risk analysis…
We’ll bring members and guests together in London on May 8th, alongside the Commodity People’s conference. The next day, May 9th, we will be hosting our second Risk Scenario Development Workshop, which will involve current members and many invited guests (see separate page for the workshop)
We held our members meeting on March 19 & 20th in The Woodlands, Texas. Our membership continues to grow, as do the range of initiatives that we are addressing. The day before the members meeting, we held our first workshop on scenario risk analysis and it was a hit with the members and guests…

We held a members meeting on November 30, 2023 in the Turnmill area of London. Attending were twenty senior risk professionals with companies from across UK and Europe.
We are very happy that our Europe group of members is now a fast growing community and we have more meetings planned for 2024.
One of our largest private meetings, we discussed many of our initiatives over two days & joined the adjacent Commodities People conference after we closed…
We had a wonderful opportunity to meet right in central downtown Boston in July…thanks go to Publicis Sapient who hosted our event at their well situated office.
This event turned out to be one of our largest private meetings. We hosted 45 members for two days of deep-dive discussions. Join us for this virtual conference series as we delve into LNG risk management today versus the future. The LNG industry is changing, probably more than any other right now. Primary in that change is the way buyers & suppliers are shifting away from traditionally long-term bilateral transactions for physical LNG. More and more are turning to shorter-term markets and financially traded markets to provide greater flexibility and more effective risk management alternatives.
However, there is much still needed in markets and the participants themselves for the advancement of risk management for LNG. This conference aims to bring a focus on these gaps and discuss potential solutions, for the purpose of facilitating the CCRO’s efforts to support industry action and make a difference.

We were in Houston for this two-day member's meeting. After our first day of reviewing next steps for our current and proposed initiatives, our second day had two “symposiums”. One symposium was on strategy for our Compliance Commission, the other was on quantifying value and risk for renewables.
